Accessibility Tools

Hempstead Valley offers a range of essential facilities, including accessible toilets, baby changing rooms, photo booths, an Amazon locker, recycling bins, and EV charging stations.

Toilets and baby changing rooms

Customer toilets are conveniently located in the centre of the shopping centre, along the ramp walkway connecting the underground car park to the central point within the shopping centre. These facilities include standard toilets, larger accessible toilets, and a dedicated parent and child room. The parent and child room provides baby changing facilities, a private feeding area, and lockable doors for added privacy.

An additional accessible toilet is located next to Costa Coffee and Hays Travel. This facility requires a RADAR key, which is available from Centre Housekeeping or Costa Coffee staff.

Further toilet facilities are available within M&S on the first floor, including accessible toilets and baby changing facilities. Sainsbury’s also provides customer toilets, including accessible facilities and a Changing Places toilet for customers requiring enhanced accessibility support.

Photo booths

Photo booths are located in the corridor leading from the Multi Storey Car park into the Centre, situated close to TGJones and Marks and Spencer’s. There is also an additional photobooth located by Vodafone

Cash Machines

We have one cash machine facility located close to Perfume Shop and Vodafone. M&S and Sainsbury’s also have cash withdrawal machines.

Recycling

Hempstead Valley have waste bins to help you separate general waste (waste that cannot be recycled, some plastic, contaminated cardboard, and food waste) and recyclables (plastic, glass and metal). We continue to search for new ways to support our environment.

We also have a coffee recycling bin situated by Costa.

Electric Car Charging

EV Charging is available outside Sainsbury's underground car park. We have 10 Ports ready to use, with ChargePoint it is easy to get charging whilst you shop.

EV charging bays are provided for vehicle charging only and are not to be used as general parking spaces. Customers are asked to keep these spaces available for those actively charging their vehicles.

Security

Here at Hempstead Valley, we take your safety and security very seriously. We work closely with Kent Police to ensure Hempstead Valley remains a safe and relaxed environment for our guests and staff. We also have our own fully accredited team who are also First Aid trained.

We have CCTV that has been installed throughout the centre and our car parks. This is monitored 24/7 by our highly trained security staff. The walkways across the centre have large open spaces and clear sight lines, even the trees and shrubs are routinely cut back to maintain visibility and the car park is well lit.

We ensure security is an integral part of our day to day activities. We ask you to help us by being vigilant for anything or anyone that looks suspicious or out of place and report this to us.
