Hempstead Valley’s priority is yours and our colleagues health and we continue to provide a range of safety initiatives to keep everyone safe, including extra cleaning to make the whole Centre as safe as possible and by providing hand sanitisers throughout the Centre.
Accessibility
Hempstead Valley is wheelchair friendly, with shops, restaurants and main entrances fully accessible at ground floor level. M&S, Sainsbury's and TK Maxx trade over two floors with the 1st floors being accessed either by lift or stairs (M&S additionally has escalators). Sainsbury's Cafe and M&S Cafe are both located on the first floor.
A disabled toilet is located next to Costa Coffee and Thomas Cook (RADAR key required, which is available from centre housekeeping or Costa Coffee staff).
Larger accessible toilets are available within the ladies and gents toilets down the ramp (next to Supercuts). Both Sainsbury's and M&S offer accessible toilets.
Wider blue badge disabled bays can be found in the undercover car parks underneath Sainsbury's and in the multi-storey car parks on levels 1 and 3, close to M&S' entrances. Red car park (near the restaurants and TK Maxx) and Yellow outside car park (opposite Argos and Santander) also have blue badge disabled car parking.
Wheelchairs are available for use – please contact (01634) 387 076 to book. However, mobility scooters are not available for hire at this time.
Toilets and baby changing rooms
Toilets are located on the ramp (next to Supercuts) from the underground car park. Larger accessible toilets are available within these facilities. Customer toilets are also located within Sainsbury's and M&S (on their first floors).
A disabled toilet is located next to Costa Coffee and Hays Travel (RADAR key required, which is available from centre housekeeping or Costa Coffee staff). Larger accessible toilets are available within the Ladies and Gents toilets down the ramp (next to Supercuts). Both Sainsbury's and M&S offer accessible toilets.
A baby changing room, which includes a separate private feeding area and toilet, is located on the ramp (in between the toilets and Supercuts). The main door to this room can be locked and the inner door can be locked as well, whilst you are feeding your baby. Both Sainsbury's and M&S provide baby changing rooms located near their toilets on the first floors.

Hempstead Valley Shopping Centre provides free parking for customers whilst they are shopping and/or dining at the centre, with a maximum stay of up to six hours in place for all car parks.
Wider blue badge disabled bays can be found in the undercover car parks underneath Sainsbury's and in the multi-storey car parks on levels 1 and 3. Red and Yellow outside car parks close to the TK Maxx and Argos entrances also have blue badge disabled car parking.

Stagecoach Express
Visiting us from Canterbury, Faversham or Chatham? Or perhaps your local bus service links with Canterbury Bus Station? The Stagecoach Express is a great way for you to get here.
The coach runs from Canterbury Bus Station, Faversham, and Chatham and stops right outside at Stop C.
The service will end following the last day of operation on Friday 22nd May.

By motorbike
A dedicated parking area for motorbikes can be found in Yellow car park, opposite the traffic lights (near the crossing to Santander and Argos.) There are also motorbike bays within the covered Orange car park under Sainsbury’s (near the entrance to the ramp and toilets).
By Bicycle
A convenient and dedicated cycle path can be found adjacent to the A278 Link Road, running for approximately 3 miles from the A2 Rainham Mark to Hempstead Valley. A cycle parking area can be found within the covered Orange car park under Sainsbury’s (near the entrance to the ramp and toilets).
By Taxi
The taxi rank at Hempstead Valley is located outside the former M&Co store (opposite Red Car park and Bus stop A).
There is a freephone taxi line to Vokes taxis, located inside the centre in between M&Co and Roman.
By Rail
Trains run regularly to Gillingham and Rainham on routes including London Victoria to Dover and HS1 via St Pancras and Dover. Hempstead Valley is approximately 10-15 minutes by taxi from each station.
Photo booths
Photo booths are located in the corridor leading from the Multi Storey Car park into the Centre, situated close to WH Smith and Marks and Spencer’s. Photo booths are also located in Sainsbury’s and Timpsons.
Amazon lockers
The Amazon locker is called Brisbane and is located in between Hays Travel and Costa #clickandcollect
Environmental Initiatives
At Hempstead Valley, we are always looking for new ways to support our environment and the natural habitat around us.
We are re-using any fallen tree branches, stacking them within hidden wooded areas to help our insects to thrive.
RECYCLING
Hempstead Valley have waste bins to help you separate general waste (waste that cannot be recycled, some plastic, contaminated cardboard, and food waste) and recyclables (plastic, glass and metal). We continue to search for new ways to support our environment.
ELECTRIC CAR CHARGING (EV)
EV Charging is available outside Sainsbury's underground car park. We have 10 Ports ready to use, with ChargePoint it is easy to get charging whilst you shop.
